Meet the supplier...
Hello my name is Ally and I am the creator and owner of the multi award winning Sweet Ally Scoops. I restored “Lottie” my 1973 Bedford CF vintage ice cream van five years ago to provide ice cream at weddings and events.

What do you bring to weddings that other suppliers don't...
I bring ice cream and charm to weddings! I serve amazing delicate gluten free scooped gelato made by a chef in Cambridge as well as a classic “99” ice cream cone from Lottie’s soft serve machine. There is also an option of traditional ice lollies and soft drinks in traditional glass bottles. Lottie herself provides the wow factor when guests see her and we have great fun when wedding couples come on board and serve some of their guests. Having Lottie and I at a wedding provides some great photo opportunities.
Can you tailor your services to suit your clients needs...
Yes of course. If a client has particular flavours of ice cream they would like then I am more than happy to provide them although most couples leave the choices up to me. I always make sure there is something for everyone and carry five different flavours on board and two dairy free sorbet options as well as the soft serve ice cream. I can attend at any time during the day… at the church, alongside the drinks reception, as a dessert after the wedding breakfast or in the evening.

How long do you stay for and how far do you travel...
Can you attend any type of venue...
Lottie can attend any type of venue although it is always best to check with your venue first as some do not allow outside caterers. I can send clients her measurements if they are worried about access and I’m happy to go along before the wedding to see if there are any problems.

Do you have any other advice...
If you are thinking of hiring a vintage ice cream van for your wedding, always check how long the owner has been trading and that the van they display on their website is the actual van you will be getting! Check the Food Hygiene Rating of any food vendor you are thinking of using for your wedding day! Check out their social media platforms and ask around for recommendations.
I hope that’s helped with any questions you may have had about getting an ice cream van for your wedding, or in fact, inspired you to book one!
