Dream job

It’s not every day you get to meet a couple who you feel like you have known forever AND a dream family farm wedding to boot!

Charlotte and Rob have a special place in my heart. A genuinely loving couple, focused on family and fun. They had the day of their dreams and I couldn’t be happier for them.

The farm wedding took place at Coldharbour Farm, Willingham where Charlotte and Rob are currently building their own home. Such special memories will always be attached to that place now.

Charlotte spent her morning at The Cambridge Belfry Hotel with her girls. It was a perfectly relaxed morning, giving me a great opportunity to get to know the girls. Charlotte looked ‘banging’ in her Pronovias gown from Honey B Boutique. Her look was perfected by Fratelli Hair and Charlotte Victoria Make Up. Beautiful!

The boys didn’t disappoint. They all looked extremely handsome in their Anthony Formal Wear suits. Haaaaaaandsome!

Getting wed

The “I Do’s” took place in the orchard. The sun was beaming down on them and hay bails provided guests with farm wedding style seating. The celebrant lead a personal and touching ceremony and Charlotte and Rob shared some gorgeous vows that got the tears flowing. A shot of tequila sealed the deal and then on to a showering under confetti canons, totally my favourite part!

On the way down to the tipi tents, we had a brief stop at the homemade tree swing… cute!

Drinks down for some group shots, which were kept to a minimum (OH YES!) and then back to drinking and mingling and laughing… the perfect mixture.

And everything in between

The guests were not only treated to a picturesque farm wedding but a day packed with entertainment too. Live music by Joe Boshell, sack racing, bucking bronco, cocktails from Gentleman Jim’s, giant jenga… it was epic!

We had some beautiful light and some awesome backdrops for the couple shots. I mean, a hanger with a plane, a cornfield and distressed green brick wall to name a few… I was spoilt for choice!

The hog roast was scrumptious (and I can’t miss saying that England’s quarter final glory didn’t go uncelebrated!) and the speeches were wicked, especially the clever rhyme from the Chief Bridesmaid.

Into the evening

Golden sun gave us the best setting for some early evening couple shots and dusk brought us the best surprise EVER! Charlotte and Rob planned and kept secret an air display for all their guests. Not just any air display… oh no! This plane had pyrotechnics shooting out of the wings! We had a love heart and infinity symbol made from the planes smoke. The reactions were amazing!

The dance floor was packed with grinding, butt shaking and moves to Magic Mike’s Pony! Just as a dance floor should be!

It’s fair to say, I didn’t want to leave. I had the best day and I loved being part of Charlotte and Rob’s farm wedding. Thank you so much you two, you rock!

And there you have it

Weddings like this make my face ache from smiling. If your having a farm wedding or any other fun, alternative style, please give me a shout, I’d love to capture it for you!

That’s a wrap. An epic wedding that melted my heart (and my body in the heat!). A day I will always have right up there at the top!

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Buchanan – you did it!
