Morning prep at the family home

When you’ve grown up in a beautiful home, very near to the church that you are getting married in, with an ideal space for a horse and carriage, then it would be silly not to use it to get ready in with all your girls. There was even a salon within the house which made for the perfect space for beautifying!

It may have been raining outside but the mood inside was awesome. The prosecco was flowing and the giggles were ringing through the rooms. When Millie, their little girl woke up, the cuteness was out in bucket loads too!

When the make over was complete and Abi was in her stunning dress from Pronovias, she looked out of this world! Brollies up, out the door and over to the waiting horse and carriage. It was a picturesque trot through their home town to the church. The groomsmen were ready and waiting with a canopy of umbrellas to shelter Abi to the church door. Meanwhile, in the dry, a nervous Lewis was waiting to see his bride and his little girl walk down the aisle.

Off to the reception

After a wonderful wedding ceremony with some lovely speeches from the dads, Abi and Lewis hopped back into the horse and carriage and made their way back home to jump into a flash Bentley (the horse and carriage would have seen them arriving a day late to their own party!).

Before long, everyone was celebrating at the gorgeous Bassmead Manor Barns. That venue never fails to look amazing and give couples the most kick arse wedding experience possible. With the weather not giving up the drizzle, we snapped the groups in the Rickety Barn – a great space for just the thing! There were personal touches dotted all over. A cute rustic step ladder with pictures of Abi, Lewis and Millie up the rungs and also a sweet Mr and Mrs Wooding cake topper. They also opted for the cocktail station, which looked fab (and I’m sure tasted equally as good!)

The first dance was certainly one to remember. Abi and Lewis danced to Abi’s dad singing Elvis Presley’s ‘Can’t help falling in love’. Super special! Then, the danced floor filled, shapes were thrown and the party really started!
